The neighborhood is found with Richmond Road to the north, 37th Street to the east, the Glenmore Trail to the south, and the Sarcee Trail to the west. Offering views of Strathcona Heights as well as the Rocky Mountains to the west, Glamorgan drives a wide range of residents to consider it for property investment.

Public school students attend Glamorgan Elementary, A.E. Cross Junior High, and Central Memorial Senior High School while Catholic school students attend St. Andrew Elementary, St. Gregory Junior High, and Bishop Carroll Senior High School. Glamorgan is uniquely attractive to young parents as both elementary schools are found within the neighborhood’s borders, allowing for an easy commute for elementary school students in the morning.

The neighborhood is located within eight kilometres of downtown Calgary though there are rarely reasons to leave. Glamorgan is plentiful in amenities. Calgary’s new Grey Eagle Casino is located just south of the community. In addition, there are a collection of bars, restaurants, and other businesses set on both sides of Richmond Road in the northwestern part of the community. Mount Royal University can be found immediately east of Glamorgan allowing students of the community an opportunity to attend a university within walking distance of their individual homes. There are also several designated areas of green space in Grafton Park, Galbraith Park, and the neighborhood’s signature Glamorgan Park.

Calgary Transit offers several stops along Richmond Road, 46th Avenue, and 37th Street, allowing residents to take the bus to other parts of Calgary for an affordable rate.

When one searches for a neighborhood a little off the beaten path, Glamorgan is an attractive name that comes up. The unique opportunities available here include but aren’t limited to the university, the elementary schools, the Richmond Road shopping and dining opportunities, and the Grey Eagle Casino – there’s never a shortage of things to do. Those looking for a separation between the city life and their home ought to consider Glamorgan.
