Hawkwood

Bounded to the north by Country Kills Blvd., to the east by the Sarcee Trail, to the south by John Laurie Blvd., and to the west by the Nose Hill drive, in the northwest quadrant of Calgary is the residential neighborhood of Hawkwood. This neighborhood was established in 1981 and currently has a population of 9,830 over a 3.5 km land area. It is one of the most scenic neighborhoods in Calgary; offering something for everyone, Hawkwood never disappoints.

For children going to school in Hawkwood, there are many schools in the nearby area. With regards to the public schools, the Hawkwood elementary school serves the children grades K-6. The F.E. Osborne School contains grades 7-9, the Robert Thirsk High School for teenagers grades 10 and 11, and Sir Winston Churchill for grade 12 in the public schools. With regards to Catholic schools, St. Maria Goretti is the assigned elementary school, St Jean Brebeuf for those in Junior High, and Senior High takes place at St. Francis. French immersion schools consist of St. Plus for elementary and Madeleine d’Houet for Junior High.
