Kincora

One of the more recently developed communities in the greater Calgary area, this neighbourhood is located in the northwest tip of the city. Kincora’s design takes on a Celtic theme complete with a Kincora tower, stone entry wall, lantern street lights, and other features that harken back to this time period. With 120 acres of park and Environmental Reserve alongside a landscaped storm water pond, Kincora is a neighbourhood built with the idea of paying tribute to the environment that surrounds us. Largely a peaceful environment complete with walkways to take residents all over Kincora and the surrounding areas, the community maintains a population of just under 5,000 residents that enjoy all the amenities that the area has to offer that is merely a twenty-minute drive from the downtown core.

Public school students attend Simons Valley elementary, Georges P. Vanier junior high, and James Fowler senior high school in the area while Catholic school students take in St. Bede elementary, St. Helena junior high, and Notre Dame senior high school.

Kincora acts as a secluded community away from the hustle and bustle that can be found in other pockets of the city. This is one of the primary reasons why residents have chosen to call this neighbourhood as home. Country Hills Boulevard makes an abundance of attractive amenities easily accessible to anyone with a vehicle. For those that choose not to use a vehicle, Calgary Transit has roughly two dozen stops set up throughout the area meaning that it’s always an easy trek for anyone looking to get out of the house for an afternoon or an evening.

In Calgary, it’s easy to find world class work opportunities, a university education, the opportunities to travel via foot or bike, and the chance to see some of the finest entertainment west of Toronto but what is more difficult to find than anything else is a place to call your home that is away from the hustle and bustle.
