Rundle

Rundle was first established as a Calgary Community in 1973 as one of four communities incorporated into an area of Calgary known as “The Properties”. With the Sunridge Mall immediately west of the neighborhood, Rundle is bounded to the north by 32nd Avenue, to the south by Trans-Canada Highway, to the east by 52nd Street, and to the west by 36th Street. With a population of nearly 12,000 people, Rundle’s properties vary though the vast majority of them are single-family detached homes. The neighborhood offers many amenities including being in close proximity to the Calgary International Airport, having access to the LRT system and major roadways such as the Trans-Canada Highway and Barlow Trail, and having Calgary’s bike pathway system located in Rundle.

Public school students of Rundle attend Rundle elementary, Cecil Swanson elementary, Dr. Gordon Higgins junior high, and Lester B. Pearson senior high school while Catholic school students attend St. Rupert elementary, St. Martha junior high, and Father Lacombe senior high school.

Calgary Transit offers several stops throughout Rundle and neighbouring communities in order to assist residents in their wishes to travel to other parts of Calgary for an affordable rate.

Predominantly a low density residential neighborhood, Rundle’s residents maintain a median household income of $50,000 with approximately 25% of residents being low-income.
