Winston Heights

Take a drive up to the northeastern region of Calgary and it’s hard not to miss the Winston Heights/Mountainview neighborhood. This residential community is bounded by the Deerfoot Trail and Nose Creek to the east, the Trans-Canada Highway to the south, the Edmonton Trail to the west, and 32^nd Avenue to the north. Winston Heights/Mountainview is known for being home to the Fox Hollows and Elks golf course. The neighborhood was first established in 1932 and then expanded in the 1950s to incorporate a larger area. Currently it has an area redevelopment plan in place that is sure to design a future for the community that keeps it integral to the fabric of Calgary culture in the years to come.

Public school students in Winston Heights/Mountainview attend Mount View elementary, Georges P. Vanier junior high or Colonel Macleod junior high, and James Fowler senior high or Crescent Heights senior high. Catholic school students are assigned to attend St. Joseph elementary and junior high before graduating at St. Mary’s or St. Francis’ senior high school.
